Jordan Peele is back in the horror game! The filmmaker and actor dropped an extended trailer for his new film, Nope at this year’s CinemaCon. While the Nope movie trailer is still a secret from the general public, here is everything we know about the upcoming horror film.
What is Nope about?
Before Jordan Peele released the trailer at CinemaCon, he told viewers he wanted to keep the mystery around the film. “The discovery and the surprise of it is part of the fun,” he said in a Q&A captured by The Hollywood Reporter. “Trailers will give you a taste, but we want to retain some of the mystery, so you can be satisfied going to the damn movie.”
When will audiences see the new Nope movie trailer?
While Jordan released a teaser trailer during Super Bowl Sunday, the full-length trailer won’t be public until several more weeks. All we know is how Jordan Peele expects people to respond to the horror film.
“This is definitely a ride,” he explains to The Hollywood Reporter. “I like titles that are into how the audience is feeling and reflect on what they are thinking and feeling in the theater. I’m going to personally thrive on the amount of times that we hear ‘Nope’ in the theater.”
Nope will star Keke Palmer, Daniel Kaluuya, Steven Yuen, Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Persa, and Michael Wincott.
Keke Palmer spoke to PureWow about her experience working with Jordan Peele.
“I was just shocked. The initial conversation was just him talking to me about the project, and then me reading the script, and it was just a very incredible process, very intimate and collaborative. obviously his vision, but what I mean by collaborative is that he really valued my opinions on my character.”
Nope release date
Nope is set to release exclusively in movie theaters on July 22, 2022.
Movie fans react to Nope movie trailer
Journalists and movie fans who were at CinemaCon shared their excited reactions to the new movie trailer.
#Nope‘s full-length trailer is ominous and confusing and creepy, the way Jordan Peele intended. I have zero clue what the movie is about, but Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun are absolute stars. #CinemaCon
